Required Documentation

  • A full birth certificate. 

  • A valid passport – (Full 10 Year). 

  • A valid tourist visa to enter Turkey. This can be obtained at the port of entry into Turkey, for a fee. 

  • If divorced, a Decree of Absolute. 

  • If widowed a spouses death certificate, previous marriage certificate. 

  • Written consent from your parents or guardians (if under 18 years of age). 

  • If you have changed your name or you were adopted, proof of this needs to be presented. 

  • British Citizens - Certificate of No Impediment

We are represented by Öner Hukuk Law Bureau for your peace of mind when it comes to arranging your certificates and legal details for your special day.
Both marrying parties must obtain a certificate of ‘No Impediment’ from their local Register Office in their native country. This can take up to 21 days, during which time bands will be published in the registered office. 

After arriving here you will need to take your basic documents to be presented to the British Consulate in Izmir. You will need to present these documents to the Irish Consulate in Ankara. This can be arranged for you with your travel arrangements at your request. 

The ceremony and a fee will be charged to translate this into Turkish for you.
